Elvis Presley: Heart And Soul (DSD Remastered) CD Track Listing
Elvis Presley
Heart And Soul (DSD Remastered) (1995)
Released January 24, 1995\nDSD Remastered CD Edition Released January 7, 2003\n\nAMG EXPERT REVIEW: The concept that seems to be guiding this, one of the latest in a long line of rehash repackages, is a focus on romantic ballads. You get well-worn hits like "Love Me Tender," "Can't Help Falling In Love," and "Suspicious Minds," not-so-well-worn hits like "She's Not You," the original version of "The Girl of My Best Friend" (covered by Ral Donner for a big hit), and other odds and ends on this 22-track compilation. Not appealing for either the novice or serious fan, the rarities, if you could call them that, are a stereo version of "I've Lost You" and a version of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" with the dubbed applause removed. Only regular pilgrims to Graceland need to get in line. -- Richie Unterberger\n\nAmazon.com Customer Review\nThe King as romantic as ever!, March 10, 2000 \nReviewer: Steve Smith from Somersworth, New Hampshire \nThis album should be entitled "His greatest Love Songs," because that is what this album contains. This album is perfect for a romantic night with a loved on, or on the other hand, a depressing night all alone. His songs and voice pull your emotional strings and leave you wanting more. Sure the King is the King of Rock and Roll, but he is also the master of the slow song. "Heart and Soul" is the perfect companion for any Elvis fan, or any fan of great love songs. I love this album, and hope you will too. \n\nHalf.com Album Notes\nProducers: Elvis Presley (tracks 1-13, 15-16); Elvis Presley, Felton Jarvis (tracks 14, 17-18, 20-22); Elvis Presley, Felton Jarvis, Chips Moman (track 19).\n\nCompilation producers: Paul Williams, Ernst Mikael Jorgensen, Roger Sermon.\n\nEngineers: Murray Spivak, Thorne Nogar, Bill Porter, Jim Malloy, Al Pachucki, Chips Moman (all tracks).\n\nRecorded from 1956 to 1972.\n\nAll tracks have been digitally remastered.\n\nEvery few years since Elvis Presley's death, RCA Records has released a collection of Elvis' love songs, usually in conjunction with Valentine's Day. LOVE SONGS is the label's 1995 entry in the series. These packages vary in length and track selection, although each invariably includes the biggest romantic hits: "Love Me Tender," "Are You Lonesome Tonight?", and "Can't Help Falling in Love." HEART AND SOUL includes numerous other familiar hits, among them "I Want You, I Need You, I Love You," "Don't," "Loving You," and "It's Now Or Never," as well as such less well-known tracks as the bouncy "The Girl of My Best Friend" and the lovely ballad "Anything That's Part Of You." HEART AND SOUL includes, for the first time on record, a stereo mix of "I've Lost You" and Presley's version of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" without the dubbed applause.\n
This rock cd contains 22 tracks and runs 64min 57sec.
