2 Days Straight: The Chrome Album CD Track Listing
2 Days Straight
The Chrome Album
Too Hot to Handle...The debut album from Detroit's Bad Ass Rock Sensation...2 Days Straight!\nThis four-piece bank from Detroit proclaimed their music as "street-wise, blue-collared rock and roll with a little bit of blue-eyed soul." Ty Stone (vocals), Matt Vigg (guitar), Neo Anderson (bass) and Matt "D-Lux" Delaney pull off this mix of sounds wonderfully. There is enough hard rock, soul and funk to please a wide array of listeners. You can tell from the energy of the CD that 2 Days Straight are great in concert and each song really does leave you wanting more! \n\nIn "The Chrome Album," the first album from 2 Days Straight, they do a great job of defining themselves as hard rockers, with songs about "Substances" and "Attitude Adjustment." \n\nType of music: Rock tossed with blues and funk. \n\nHometown: Detroit, Michigan - and it shows - Detroit rock at its best \n\nHighs: "Irresistible Attraction" is a strong, solid rock ballad that sounds like it cam right off the radio. Kudos to the band for not being afraid to pour their emotions out in this love song ("And maybe someday you'll come back to me/And stay here for all time, wake me up and kiss me softly.") "Papa Outlaw Rider" follows the ballad with a tried-and-true story of a bad boy rocker on the run. It's a macho, classic rock track that jams. "Drive By" is another tale of bad-boy rockers and cheating lovers. \n\nLows: I thought about this for about ten minutes and couldn't come up with any lows. \n\nFavorite lyric: There are many, but this one caught me early on: "I leave the door unlocked even though I know you've got a key/A subtle invitation written out in faith to you from me," from "Irresistible Attraction." On the edgier side: "Hustle time, cuz all these girls got money on their mind and they all wanna dance/So I might just give every one a chance," from "Downtown." That's the macho side of the music I was talking about. \n\nFans: Pearl Jam and Metallica fans will relish the hard rock of this band, while even Papa Roach fans might dig the guitar riffs. \n\nFoes: Sarah McLaughlin or Tori Amos fans will not appreciate the hard-rockedness of this CD, but that''s not who 2 Days Straight is trying to impress, either.\n\n \n\n10/1/2001\n\nAltar Native Magazine\n\nCheck out this full page action! From the Motown sound to MC5 to Kid Rock, the songs of the street have told stories of the workingman's world. 2 Days Straight represent the city that same way, brewing up street-wise, blue-c
