Little River Band Get Lucky (1990)
Originally Released February 28, 1990 or March 1990\n\nAMG EXPERT REVIEW: N/A\n\n\nAMAZON.COM CUSTOMER REVIEW\nStarting to get their second wind, October 9, 2005\nReviewer: Brett Simpson (Auckland, New Zealand)\nThis is an enormous improvement over the extremely tepid 'Monsoon', but it's still a long way off their best work. \n\nKey to this is the fact that Graham Goble recovered from his brief dry spell, although the sudden appearance of a lot of material from writers outside the band also helps. Truth be told though, the only truly outstanding cut here is Glenn Shorrock's 'I Dream Alone'. 'If I Get Lucky' and 'Every Time I Turn Around' (co-written by Peter Beckett of Player fame, who soon after became an offical LRB member) are the other real highlights. \n\nNone of the rest is bad, just comparatively unmemorable. The album was definitely a step in the right direction, sadly Goble soon decamped and LRB's recording career was effectively over. While it wasn't the best effort to go out on, fans will still find this well worth owning.\n\n\nAMAZON.COM CUSTOMER REVIEW\nSuperb & Underrated Album, July 27, 2005\nReviewer: Zachery Clift (Michigan)\nG'day Mate! This amazing album is the last one to feature all the original members(minus Birtles) before they went their seperate ways. They have since formed 2 seperate LRB bands. Although both bands are still quite good, they were much stronger creatively & a force to be reckoned with before the split. This album is a great example of LRB at their very finest. It has strong power ballads, great harmony vocals & very catchy songs. There's not one weak moment on the entire album & it's really great to hear both Glenn Shorrock & Wayne Nelson together. The rest of the band is exceptional too. In my opinion, this is their last truly great album & you won't regret buying it. I just hope that someday the 2 sides will settle their differences, reunite & re-create the magic that they did here. \n\n\nAMAZON.COM CUSTOMER REVIEW\nVastly Underrated Band, August 5, 2004\nReviewer: Darkness (SoCal)\nI've been listening to LRB since grade school days and loved every single tune. I have been looking for the Get Lucky CD for a little while and finally found it with a vendor. The Get Lucky CD is vintage LRB. This is the 2st CD I've ever owned (after Jagged Little Pill) where I enjoyed every track. If you're an LRB fan, don't miss out on this most excellent album.\n\n\nAMAZON.COM CUSTOMER REVIEW\nGlen Shorrock Is Fantasic, March 1, 2004\nReviewer: John Dearing "Aussie!" (Sydney, NSW Australia)\nIt is The Little River Band that we all Know ! I love I dream Alone , Get Lucky is catchy and the song from Karate Kid 3 is also good "listen to my heart" Its a CD that should have done better ! try to get it now!\n\n\nHalf.com N/A
