The \r\ncharm of this boot is that Van is unhomed, playing with Candy \r\nDulfer's Funky Stuff. Which results in a different sound from many \r\nother recent performances. VTM is in good voice and Candy's sax\r\nexcellent. Addition of Mavis Staples vocals to this makes for \r\nsomething a little special. The performance varies from a punchy \r\nfunky sound to real soul and blues. For me "Your Mind Is On \r\nVacation" and "I'll Take Care of You", stand out. The latter at \r\ntimes is so laid back its almost horizontal. "Vanlose" is great with \r\nfine sax from Candy, lovely guitar solo, Van in Yoh-del-eh mood and \r\nculminating in a no-holds-barred "TET". Ace.
