This is Walter post-Lindsey & Stevie, a bit too precocious and goofy for the maintream, wearing it all on his sleeve in a most melodic, ripping rock 'n roll way. I love the contrast between over-the-moon in love Walter (Hi-Fi) and pissed off Walter (The Last Stroll). The guitar work on these albums is superb. Turns out I've been reproducing these solos in my music career over and over again -- and I'd forgotten where they'd come from. Back around when these albums came out I saw Walter open for David Lindley at Perkins Palace in Pasadena. TALK ABOUT GUITAR HEAVEN. Anyway, bravo Walter, these were shamefully ignored albums. Money back guarantee. \n\nAMAZON.COM CUSTOMER REVIEW\nClassic Egan - Buy This Album Now!, July 5, 2005\nReviewer: V. Ogawa (Vacaville, CA United States)\nA rerelease of Egan's third and fourth solo albums, 1979's Hi Fi and 1980's The Last Stroll, this collection was distributed by the UK label Acadia/Evangeline Records in 2005. \n\nThis disc features both albums in their entirety (plus two bonus tracks), with all new and inciteful liner notes written by Walter Egan. I'm not going to give too many details, however, because I want to give fans that much more reason to buy the cd. :) \n\nAnybody who appreciates Egan's California rock style, or is a fan of the Rumours-era lineup of Fleetwood Mac, should definitely pick this one up. Favorite tracks are "Little Miss, It's You," "Love At Last," "You're the One," "Bad Attitude," "Heart," and "Motel Broken Hearts."
This rock cd contains 22 tracks and runs 71min 32sec.
