You guys have GOT to accept some other categories of music - there's Dance, Ambient, Rap, Industrial, Gothic, Hardcore, Alternative, House - all recognised and popular in their own ways (and no, I personally don't own (or even like) all of those just listed - but THEY'RE OUT THERE). Why be biased towards such - admit it now - "Americanised" categories? (WE don't call music Soul just because a negroid person performs it, whereas that seems to be the only reason the U.S. music industry needs...). THIS ALBUM, e.g., has both AMBIENT and DANCE; it isn't rock, and don't dare consign it to some "Misc" bin. The prescence of a "Misc" category only reveals laziness (or a narrowness of vision) on the part of the cataloguer - not the reality of the data they catalogue. Hey, the categories you DO use are all valid and quite OK - but there ARE others. The fact that you personally DON'T listen to them (or even like them) is like saying there's no need for a flavour category of "Strawberry Cheesecake" at B&R's because nobody YOU know eats that cruddy flavour... Nuff said. Open your eyes (and ears). This CDDB thing: you may not consider it to be a catalogue of music net users play/own, but hell - what the **** IS it GOOD FOR aside from that? Why BOTHER with all this unless it IS used in such a way? I use DiscPlay4.04 and it builds a CATALOGUE with CDDB info it grabs off the net for every album I pass thru it. Admit it - this CDDB thing IS a catalogue. It will keep on growing - and we have a responsibility to get it right up front. \n'Bye and Merry Xmas...
