2 years ago, at the beginning of year 2000, after death of the famous TRIP, a french guy decided to continue the idea TRIP had: write reviews of psytrance albums and make them reviewed by their visitors as well.\n\nThen he was progressively helped by very dedicated visitors around the world, who now are considered as part of the crew.\n\nAll this permitted them to expand the idea by interviewing artists & labels, look for their photos & biographies, talk about upcoming and past parties, incoming releases, and start a forum for psytrance, permitting every one in the world to discuss about the psytrance scene evolution. A new name was then decided: PSYNEWS.ORG\n\nNow this site is one of the most-visited psytrance sites on the web, and the current new "tracks contest" encouraging new producers to submit their tracks for review, further establishes psynews.org as the hub of the online psytrance community.\n\nThis compilation is the result of three-month first contest of: www.psynews.org\n\n17 tracks won the contest out of 200 participating, and 10 of them were chosen for this compilation. You can download the 7 other winner tracks, from Andromeda, SynSUN, Asura, Artha, Epsilon, De-Fect and Vax, for free in the "Contest" section of the website mentioned above a kind of "bonus". The aim of the contest was to give any unsigned artist a chance to become signed on a psytrance label so as to be listened to on the scene.\n\nOther contests are planned.\n\nwww.inpsyde-media.com
