From the liner notes:\n------------------------------\n\nRecordings on this disc were derived from three sources. Firstly, studio recordings at RCA in New York, expressly for V-Disc purposes. Secondly, recordings made at dress rehearsals for the band's regular "I Sustain The Wings" radio\nshow and finally from the actual broadcasts of that series\n\nStudio sessions on October 29th and December 10th, 1943 provide the opening tracks. The disc continues with material from an "I Sustain The Wings" dress rehersal on 11th of December, 1943 before moving into 1944 for a further studio date on 21st of January. The disc is rounded off from actual "I Sustain The Wings" radio broadcasts on April 29th, May 8th, and May 13th, 1944.
