Herbie Hancock: piano\nWayne Shorter: tenor & sporano saxophones\nRon Carter: bass\nWallace Roney: trumpet\nTony Williams: drums\n\nFrom Liner notes:\n\nMiles Davis passed away in 1991. This recording is our\ntribute to a man who influenced, not only musicians\npriviledged to be members of his band and impacted the\nmusic of the twentieth century, but also became a legend\nto millions of people around the world who loved the sound\nof his horn.\n\nIn 1992, as a celebration of Mr. Davis' life, music, and his\ngenius, this band reunited and played to audiences in the\nUnited States, Europe, Canada, Great Britain, The Mideast,\nMexico, South America and Asia. Everywhere we went it\nwas clear that the audiences had the same desire to share\nmemories and to be touched once again by his vision and\nhis courage.\n\nSo, in our small way we offer this music, that for us recalls\nthe essence of our love for Miles Davis. He left us much\ntoo soon.\n TONY WILLIAMS YEAR: 1994
