This album is an acoustic musical journey across the continent, featuring the leading virtuosos of Spanish flamenco, captivating vocalists of Portuguese fado and Greek rembetika, infectious Gypsy balladeers, enthralling Balkan choirs, energetic brass bands, and touching Nordic and Celtic fiddlers. In a continent that has been divided linguistically defined political borders, as this collection reveals, Europe's musical language is universal.\n\nThis album is released in conjunction with Amnesty International, a worldwide voluntary organisation, who campaign for human rights around the globe.
