One of the 1980's most consistent hit-makers, Dan Seals Looks for\nsongs he believes in when he enters the studio. His is a body of\nwork rich in imagery, detail and insight. This package includes some\nof his most successful recordings, as well as the new "Ball And Chain"\nwhich is a mid-tempo, driving number with a concept twist.\nHis No. 1 song, "Bop", was released in October 1985, going on to become\nthe anthem for a generation and one of the biggest hits of the decade.\nTHen, in April of 1986, Seals released a single that became an overnight\ncountry classic. "Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold)" soared to\nthe top chart position and was almost immediately a regular on radio\nrecurrent playlists. Both songs garnered the artist songwriting\nawards and generated even more fans for the writer/artist.\nIn June of 1988 Seals released a song written by a woman who would\nlater become a Capitol Nashville labelmate, CCheryl Wheeler, and \n"Addicted" was added to Seals Formidable History of Hits. He finished\nthe year with another monster hit, "BIg Wheels In The Moonlight", and\nin March of 1989, "They Rage On" started it's chart climb, making\nanother immense impact on country listeners. He started the '90s with an even\nbigger success, when "Love on Arrival" stayed at the No. 1 spot in\nBillboard for three straight weeks.\nDan Seals has been pleasing audiences for some time now, and as it\nturns out, he does it by pleasing himself: "If there's anything I can \ndo with my songs that's enlightening or that makes people happy, then\nI'm Happy."\n
